It's Black Friday! While I slept in my bed, many woke early early early to get a jump on the wicked sales the retailers were offering. The term "Black Friday" originated in Philadelphia in reference to the heavy traffic on that day. More recently, merchants and the media have used it instead to refer to the beginning of the period in which retailers go from being in the red (i.e., posting a loss on the books) to being in the black (i.e., turning a profit).So, did you find anything good this shopping Friday? The primary goal of this business model is to collect news and distribute it. Via this distribution they gain eyeballs back to the website and in-turn, to the advertisers on the side of the page.

Another wood flooring texture.
This old map texture reminds me of my younger days when I'd play Dungeons and Dragons. My friends and I would spend hours drawing up spooky looking maps of the cool adventures we would create and play through. Today... it looks more like the Marauders Map from Harry Potter.
Wood Planks.... for ye to walk!
There be Dragons in them parts I tell ye! Dragons!!! Be warned if ya sail to them evil waters down south... the dragons will be hungry and yur ship will be luken tasty. Them dragons are how I lost my right leg, my left arm, both eyes, me right ear and my big toe. Arrrr, I miss that toe.

Yes... by definition this is a tileable texture... yet I'm kind of cheating because the grout lines are what tile-up. Anyway... it was fun for me to create so it counts... and I hope you enjoy it also. :)

An edgier side of Red
Nice collection of well designed coasters. Ya so what, you say... well, it's amazing how many times people look coasters, especially when there is a lull in the conversation. A good coaster will fit a good restaurant like a glove, and will reflect the mood of the restaurant. Funny, Soft, Loud, Edgy, ect, the coaster is just one aspect of good design. ok... enough of my rant.
Well Google release their new telephone today... The Droid. Though I'm an iPhone user I really like the competition as it will help spur Apple into innovating their telephone further. A few nice things the Droid can do that the iPhone can't are:

More Softness
A soft texture which resembles the cosmetics section at my local drug store.
More rendered grass. This texture I created to serve as grass under a thicker planting of bushes or trees. It has a rougher look and works well to set itself off from more manicured lawns. A tangential benefit of this texture is that background shrubbery can be made up entirely from this texture. 
Grass for your front lawn, back lawn, side lawn.... and more importantly, your computer generated lawn.
